Upset the Applecart

This autumnal cocktail is a perfect blend of applejack, ginger syrup, and chai. It’s served at the famous Union Square Cafe in New York City. What else can you ask from a drink that’s perfect for fall? It’s spicy, sweet, just the right amount boozy, and a bit smoky.

Ingredients

  • ounce Laird’s applejack
  • 1/4 ounce ginger syrup
  • 1/4 ounce lemon juice
  • One dash of whiskey barrel bitters
  • 1 cup chai
  • One cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Combine Laird’s Applejack, ginger syrup, and lemon juice in a mug. Whiskey barrel bitters can also be added. Stir together. Garnish the dish with a cinnamon stick.
